Aberdeen Strathspey & Reel Society

Aberdeen Strathspey & Reel Society's orchestras perform a variety of traditional Scottish music under the watchful baton of Conductor Graham Reid. The orchestras consist of violins, accordions and double basses. Formed in 1928, shortly after the death of J Scott Skinner 'The Strathspey King' the Society continues to preserve and encourage the practice and peformance of Scottish music including Marches, Strathspeys, Reels, Jigs, Two Steps and Slow Airs.
