Alan Ayckbourn’s Confusions is a series of short interlinked plays that have as a common theme the confusion, heartache and comedy caused when people fail to communicate; a distraught mother who can’t stop treating everyone like children, a husband working away from home, a waiter’s observations of couples bickering in a restaurant, the opening of a village fete and the conversations of five strangers meeting in a park.
