'A'

'A' were formed in Leeds in the early '90s by three brothers, Jason, Adam and Giles Perry, along with friends Mark Chapman and Steve Swindon. Following four albums, a couple of line-up changes and a three-year hiatus, the band reunited with a new line-up of Jason, Giles, Adam and Mark with new bassist John Mitchell (Daniel P. Carter's replacement) in 2008 for a tour with The Wildhearts, and are planning a new album and tour for 2009.

This City

Compared to Bloc Party, Talking Heads and At The Drive-In, this Brighton five-piece play a unique blend of contagious indie-hardcore combining rugged guitars, disco-punky beats, punchy vocals and heartstring-ripping lyrics.
