Ying Mei Duan

Ying Mei Duan is a Live Artist based in Germany. During her residency at Chinese Arts Centre, Ying Mei will explore expressions of desire and melancholy. An inquisitive observer, she will create a series of performances as site-specific installations driven from the situations she encounters whilst residing in Manchester. For these works Ying Mei adapts a staged persona employing sleep to create a fictitious dream world that questions social conventions and behaviour.
