When the wife of a Foreign Office diplomat, with a tendency to 'spin tales', discovers a dead body in the drawing-room, she frantically attempts to dispose of it before her husband returns home. But having persuaded her house guests to help her, it soon becomes apparent that the recently deceased was not unknown to everyone amongst them…And so the web of deceit starts to unravel, as a desperate attempt to unveil a murderer and a motive ensues!
