This event has passedOne of the most prolific British songwriters of the 90s, Haines was the man behind Baader Meinhoff and Black Box Recorder who sprang to prominence in 1992 with his band the Auteurs and the Mercury Music Prize-nominated New Wave, inadvertently kicking off Britpop in the process. Despite releasing a 3 CD box set entitled Luke Haines Is Dead in 2005, he is alive and kicking still touring today.
