Dick Dale is the rock guitar legend from Pulp Fiction's soundtrack. Not only did he inspire many generations of guitarists ( including Jimi Hendrix, etc..) but he was instrumental in the development of FENDER amplifiers, as he shredded speakers left and right to the dismay and delight of Leo Fender, the company's founder.
