Although undoubtedly an Indie act, this Twickenham quartet owe more to the grandiose gestures of the Smashing Pumpkins or the expansive musings of latter-day Brand New than the coffee table shoe-gaze of Snow Patrol and Keane, imbuing their mature, considered sound with an urgency and strength that betrays their hunger for success. They were XFM's unsigned competition winners in 2007.

'Edgy female fronted alt pop'- Bugbear. Featuring former The Go! Team member Silke Steidinger. 'While Kaputt is primarily a punk band, elements of 80s new wave and krautrock are ever present. Their songs typically burst out of the gate with driving guitar/bass lines and oft-repeated lyrics, leaving their appreciation for American sonic gurus like Sonic Youth out in the open.' – Rough Trade.
