an evening of film, music and song marking the 80th anniversary of the comedy duo's successful switch from silent film to sound, with the help of veteran entertainer Jean Darling, the Emerald Ensemble, playing a brand new score for DOUBLE WHOOPEE and a capella aces, The Matinee Idles, featuring actor Paul McGann and ex-members of the chart-topping doo-wap band, Darts. This event is a fund-raiser for the next Slapstick festival of silent comedy, which takes place in Bristol from 21-24 January 2010. See www.slapstick.org.uk for more information.
