Timeslides:
Simon Cotterill

This will be the first showing of Simon Cotterill’s Timeslides – a photographic recreation project which mixes elements of history, portraiture, and theatre. Timeslides re-imagines traditional portrait photography and involves people ‘playing themselves’ as they attempt to re-capture past facial expressions, postures, and moods. Each recreation is a collaborative effort between subject and photographer and has allowed its participants to become directly involved in art and photography in a way they never had before.
