Five, Six, Seven, Eight!

The storyline concerns Amanda Power who is an established musical star. For her, the four weeks of rehearsals for a new show are terrific – the rest of the year is spent doing the show eight times a week. But after repeating this cycle many times, Amanda is becoming tired and disillusioned. Among the cast of this new show is an old friend, Freddie Goodchild, who helps her find a new direction in her life. Also in the cast is a young dancer called Tom whose enthusiasm and tireless energy seems to affect everyone he meets. The show is full of lively songs and laughter, contrasting with emotional drama and heart wrenching ballads. It is a story set in the backstage world of the theatre which resonates with every other profession and situation where people meet.
