The Runway Festival

With its unique setting (literally on the perimeter fence of Bournemouth Airport) and appeal of being a Festival for purely local bands, djs and exhibitors, we’re expecting this to the be the first of many successful outdoor events, indeed we’ll be looking for a second, larger Runway Festival next year. Gates on both days open at 2pm, with djs and art/craft/photography exhibitors (inc. FairPlay and Ishihara) utilising all areas before the live music starts on the Main Stage at 5.30pm. In addition to this, there will be a Pimms Tent, Piddle Tent, BBQ, kids bouncy castle and a Hug Tent where we will be selling hugs for 50p – all money raised going to Julia’s House – a Broadstone-based charity who support and care for children with life-limiting illnesses. Twelve bands will be performing on the main Stage over the two days, including the cream of the local live scene. We’re selling 300 tickets per day at just £3, available from bands and djs, plus Langdon’s Electric Music, the Dorset Music Forum office, Razorhead barbers.
