More Information

65daysofstatic

65daysofstatic

A young band from the North, now based in Sheffield. They are hard at work breaking fuzzy glitch-beats with their guitars - and destroying stages with their live performances. These guys are aiming high, so check them out while you have the chance.

Caribou

Caribou

The artist formerly known as Manitoba, offering up a likeable blend of electronica and sunshine pop. Their live set sees them deliver a carnival-esque whirl of ridiculous melodies, effusive noise, stampeding beats alongside furiously harmonised vocals. Two drummers, visuals and whirling guitars and keyboards create a claustrophobic, mesmeric soundscape akin to My Bloody Valentine and the sprawling, bucolic tour de force, like early Mercury Rev.

Jarboe

Half of the seminal NYC music project 'Swans', now persuing a solo career in her own eclectic way. Renown for her striking vocal style and eclectic compositional skill, Jarboe has emerged as one of the leaders of the alternative music scene.

Pram

Kooky melodies and richly layered instrumentation from these experimental Birmingham songsmiths headed by one of the best voices out there.

Theo

Freshly imported from South Central LA, and now residing in Northern Ireland, Theo's West Coast influences outdate the beginning of hiphop. Theo is a member of the R.A.R.E. DJ collective.

The Memory Band

A folk group with a difference. They mix instrumentals and vocal harmonies with a good melodic sense and plenty of singing and dancing. Their mission to enjoy music no matter when it was written has seen them adapt pieces from a very wide spectrum, whether old or new.

zZz

zZz

zZz is the sleazy steamin' locomotive barrelling out of Amsterdam. By combining the doom-laden vocals of the late Ian Curtis and the dark psychobilly madness of Alan Vega, a monstrous thunder is let loose. Organ, drums and vocals is all it takes for this sexy disco cult duo to serve up their Molotov cocktail of violent trance, psychedelic electro wave, garage soul and dirty rock & roll.
