More Information

The Rumble Strips

The Rumble Strips

Rumble Strips hail from Devon, with a look and sound that's completely their own. They mix thundering brass and drums with singer Charlie Waller's [former member of Vincent Vincent and the Villains] soaring vocals. Their music is born out of brilliantly self-deprecating lyrics underpinning glorious, uplifting melodies and pop-hooks. Two limited singles released earlier last year set tongues a-wagging and cemented The Rumble Strips' place as one of the most exciting new bands for 2007.

The Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem

'Sounding like a wonderfully gritty fusion of homestate hero Bruce Springsteen and the native sound of their hometown, New Brunswick (Bouncing Souls, Thursday), they add a pinch of Pogues-style rhythm-and-booze to a set of songs that together make a strong case for the quartet's second record being the best punk rock album made this year.' - NME

The Broken Family Band

The Broken Family Band

A band from Cambridge with a disturbing take on country rock. Dark lyrics mix with uplifting music to create an oddly moving experience. 'From hangovers to messy relationships, this will be the soundtrack to any emotional minefield you should want to stumble through this year'- www.dosomethingpretty.com

Broken Records

Broken Records are a seven piece band based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Formed in early 2006 as an antidote to work, they have gigged continuously since then, seeing several members come and go from the fold. It is in this vein that Broken Records started, as a loose amalgam of musicians who would play under one banner when not doing their own work.

Thomas Dybdahl

Thomas Dybdahl

Norwegian solo artist and the former guitarist from Quadrophonics. Thomas is often compared to Nick Cave or Jeff Buckley with his natural and effortless, yet deep, melancholic and soulful sound which has earned him critical acclaim both in Scandinavia and throughout Europe and America.
