New wave electro indie pop from Glasgow influenced by The Cribs, Bloc Party and The Futureheads. Formed in 2005, The Dykeenies' snappy pop songs brought them to the attention of the Glasgow indie scene and soon after the UK was greeted by their faces in a double page feature in Play Magazine. One to watch.

My Latest Novel

This Scottish five-piece perform melodic, folksy pop songs adorned with colourful arrangements which utilise violins, xylophones and percussion. Their sparkling, magical music has been winning them fans both throughout their native Scotland and farther afield. Their debut single 'Sister Sneaker Sister Soul' was described as 'six minutes of awesome, wide-eyed folk rock majesty' (The List) and 'fragile, epic and melancholic' (NME).

Emmy The Great

Emmy the Great writes songs for her friends. Her friends are all double crossing liars, and some of them are dead. Emmy seems to have come out of nowhere, sharing an aesthetic backdrop with Cat Power and Regina Spektor. A point of note for any audience would be the directness and frankness with which she approaches lyricism, a keen contender on the British anti-folk scene.

Easy Star All Stars

A covers group with a twist - Easy Star All Stars don't just cover songs, they cover entire albums, and what's more, they do it reggae style! To date they have published two albums, Dub Side Of The Moon, an interpretation of the Pink Floyd classic, and Radiodread, which dealt with the famous OK Computer, on Easy Star records.

Lightning Seeds

Having secured a reputation as one of the most prominent bands of the 1990s, the Lightning Seeds took an 'elongated break' at the end of the decade, Ian Broudie moving largely into production and releasing some solo records of his own. 2006 marks the band's reformation, and festival goers will be re-living the glorious days of 'Jollification' without a shred of disappointment.

Bombay Bicycle Club

A group of schoolfriends - not even very long ago - formed Bombay Bicycle Club and, under-appreciated in school, took their music out on the London gig circuit, which led to them opening the V Festival in August 2006. They released their debut EP later that year and, still in their teenage years, have received national acclaim for their efforts.
