A Gala Performance Of Young Felixstowe

Young Felixstowe celebrates their town in song, dance, drama and choir as they look to raise funds for Macmilllan Cancer Support and for the building of our Guide H.Q. Three families have created the evening to bring together their memories of loved ones: Ann Rodwell, former Mayor and County Council Chairman, Janet Bloomfield, Guide Leader extraordinaire and Aloka Charlton, mother to Hannah, Daisy, Betty, Flora and Oscar. Suffolk Coastal Youth Opportunity Fund has funded Felixstowe's Southernwood Stage School to create a youth stage performance. At the heart of the production is the story and sublime music of the singer Karen Carpenter. Their performance powerfully weaves the Carpenter songs, such as 'Top of the World' and '(They Long to Be) Close to You', alongside their own contemporary music, words and dance.
