Through employing the historical and beautiful salt print process which dates back to 1835 and the dawn of photography, John Edwards looks at our relationship with the mundane and throwaway, objects discarded and not given a second thought, insignificant entities which now reside along the roadside. These objects are viewed in a new state and environment - do they pose questions and ask the viewer to reconsider their status? Through the medium of photography do they become statuesque, a thing of beauty or desire?
