Event Info
It’s 1975 in a schoolroom near Manchester. Eddie Waters, a respected northern comedian, runs an evening class for would-be comedians. Tonight is the last lesson before they present their acts in front of a traditional northern audience. A London agent has arrived to assess their acts and open the door of fame and fortune to the lucky few. But at what price? What is a legitimate subject for comedy? What are the boundaries and when can you step over them? What should be the responsibilities of the comedian or the artist?
