More Information

Doves

Doves

One of the UK's best indie rock bands (and former members of 'Sub Sub) whose first two albums have allowed the band to dispense with comparisons and forge their own sound. Mellow guitar-driven indie with irresistable chord arrangements, which sometimes give way to playful dance undercurrents, their Glasto 2002 and 2003 sets have been festival highlights for any lucky enough to hear them.

Biffy Clyro

Biffy Clyro

Quite possibly one of the most exciting bands in Britain, Scots trio Simon Neil (guitar/vocals), Ben Johnston (drums/vocals) and James Johnston (bass/vocals) combine moments of extreme aggression with achingly tender guitar pickings and passionately lovelorn lyricism.

The Cribs

The Cribs

The Cribs, from Wakefield, Yorkshire, have combined a natural pop sensibility with a love of rock and roll, and produced a slew of thrilling well written songs in the process. At gigs these songs are delivered with real passion, and the band always puts on a good show.

White Lies

White Lies

White Lies belt out the kind of massively epic, chart-topping pop The Killers should still be making. Backed by the management team that are responsible for the Kaiser Chiefs.

British Sea Power

British Sea Power

British Sea Power are Yan, Noble Hamilton, Woody and Eamon. The band began life in Cumbria, 2001, and after a few relocations gained an enormous reputation in Brighton and then Europe, as tour supports to such greats as Interpol and The Flaming Lips. By the end of 2004, they were known worldwide, receiving acclaim as 'the best band in Britain' (Sunday Times) and attaining the Time Out award for Live Band Of The Year. It's quite remarkable that in this short time, BSP have established themselves as one of Britain's most noteworthy bands.

The Lemonheads

The Lemonheads

Initially formed as a punk-pop trio by three schoolkids from Boston, the Lemonheads came close to becoming major stars in the early nineties. The hint of country music in some of their songs was unusual for the time, but the catchiness of their material and the charisma of frontman Evan Dando made the Lemonheads natural candidates for big time success. The band's discography began in the late eighties, reaching a commercial peak with 1992's 'It's a Shame About Ray' and the followup 'Come On Feel the Lemonheads' (1993). Mentioning the name 'The Lemonheads' can still provoke wide-eyed excitement in their legions of loyal fans.

Flood Of Red

Flood Of Red

Glaswegian six-piece Flood of Red are emo, screamo post-hardcore rockers whose energy and emotion is accompanied by hints of classic metal heard in their bass and percussion parts. Their experiments with synthesizers and electronic effects give them a modern edge suited to their age but doesn't infringe upon the fact that this is classic emo rock.
