Formed in 1998 to pay off a considerable bar tab in their local pub, this innovative and young six-piece folk band have gone from strength to strength and are credited as one of the groups who have helped to rejuventate and re-invent the folk cannon.

Samsa

Samsa are a 3-piece from Leeds. The band, brothers Oli & Jamie Deakin (Vocals/Guitar and Drums respectively) and Harry Wood (Bass) began their exploits in the heart of native Cumbria in 2003 and have enjoyed extensive Radio 1 airplay as they were championed by the late John Peel.

The Clay Faces

Songs inspired by the world around them. A melee of banjo, harmonica, djembe, six strings and front-man Andrew Tranter's distinctive post-punk vocal. A unique brand of agit-folk.
