Rise Against

A hardcore punk rock band from Chicago, with a positive outlook that separates them from many of their peers. Since 1999 they've been mixing the furious energy of old-school hardcore with a more melodic sound, blending influences in a way that shouldn't work but does. Musically the band presses all the right buttons, but they are also very socially aware people, and have used their ever-growing profile to support numerous good causes.

Their thrilling time changes, strong melodies and beguiling vocal harmonies brought them mainstream success in 2002 with a main stage slot on the Warped Tour subsequently leading to a record deal with Island.
