Formed out of the ashes of the sadly missed Spacemen 3. Spiritualized have consistently made music that epitomises the phrase 'Junkie Cool'. Amazing songs about life, death, love, sex, drugs and the big guy upstairs. Live they are incredible and could have anything from a small horn section to a full orchestra to back them up, and a pretty cool light show too.

White Belt Yellow Tag

White Belt Yellow Tag are Justin Lockey & Craig Pilbin. Lockey who was previously a part of, Yourcodenameis:Milo, had bumped into Pilbin up in Newcastle; Lockey knew his way around a studio and Pilbin had a bunch of songs he wanted to try out. The two consequently began working together and the relationship soon developed beyond producer / writer, as they shared duties playing all the instruments rather than waste time recruiting a band. Within weeks they had amassed a bunch of amazing songs that teetered somewhere between the glacial grind of Slint and the soaring majesty of Doves – dramatic, tense & uplifting.

Marnie Stern

Her debut record, In Advance of the Broken Arm, is culled from songs written by herself in her bedroom over a two-year period, with production and drum work by Hella's Zach Hill. Her songs are of the earth, birthed in an organic process where the finished product is much more striking than the individual parts: created in solitude, the songs contain a staggering number of layers, each one winding its way around the others, then counterpointed by Marnie's feminine, echoing, powerful vocals.
