Sonic Youth

Sonic Youth

Legendary American alt rockers whose pioneering dissonant guitar sound has guaranteed them a place in music history. Formed in New York in the early eighties, Sonic Youth have lead the way for alternative rock groups and influenced many modern bands. Despite their age and legendary status, the group, headed by the charismatic Thurston Moore, have continued to evolve and are still making the experimental and ground-breaking music that originally made their name.

De La Soul

One of the most artistic and creative hip-hop acts ever, this trio from Long Island have had an unquestionable influence since their debut in 1987. As well as hits from their legendary album '3 Feet High and Rising' including 'The Magic Number', 'Say No Go' and 'Me Myself and I', their recent releases have included a collaboration with Gorillaz, 'Feel Good Inc', which reached no 2 in the UK singles charts.
