More Information

The View

The View

Shimmering indie-rock from this youthful Scottish four-piece. The View make the kind of music that Primal Scream and The Charlatans would be proud of - clashing guitars, swirling melodies, unexpected crescendos and psychedelic vocals. 'At last Scotland finds its own grotty underbelly being given a rabid, celebratory pop summation.' - NME.

The Courteeners

The Courteeners

Manchester's The Courteeners both look and sound as though they've come straight out of another time and place, and yet, somehow, are bang up to date. Think Babyshambles meets The Smiths and you'll be somewhere close to their gritty, electrifying sound. 'NME strongly advises that you do put your life in the hands of this rock 'n' roll band'.

Jamie T

Jamie T

Jamie has been described as sounding like Kings of Leon covering a song by The Streets. His unique style of confiding humorous urban tales accompanied by his bass have had Virgin rushing to sign this young performer.

Edwyn Collins

Edwyn Collins

As co-founder of Postcard Records, the hallowed 80's indie label, through the influence of his band Orange Juice and his solo catalogue, including the timeless "A Girl Like You," as a producer of current bands like The Cribs, Edwyn Collins continues to plough his own furrow as a musician. He returned to recording and performing to great acclaim following a brain haemorrhage in 2005. Honoured in 2009 with an Ivor Novello and Q Awards, the smart and the savvy love Edwyn Collins.

The Maccabees

The Maccabees

An enjoyable post punk band. Their take on New Wave sounds is refreshingly individual and exciting, with original lyrics and catchy tunes. 'Bouncing, brash, befuddled, The Maccabees invoke all those primal urges you've had in the past couple of years about the renaissance of the British scene'- Drowned In Sound.
