More Information

Keane

Keane

The trio of Tom, Rich & Tim has been catapulted to stardom, from the rural tranquility of Sussex, in the last couple of years. The bright lights have done little to faze these three, who continue to produce emotive, yet passionate pop rock, welcoming praise from critics and an army of loyal fans alike. Following the departure of their guitarist, the band pushed on, and so impressed Fierce Panda's Simon Williams that he immediately offered to issue their next single, 'Everything's Changing', in 2002. The whirlwind began there, leading them to win Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Album, for 'Hopes And Fears', at the Brits 2005.

Pendulum

Pendulum

Formed during 2002 by three musicians from Western Australia with similar visions and musical backgrounds, Pendulum's mission has always been to pull together their production resources, ideas and influences from various styles of music, to create a new sound that they felt was missing from dance music. The individual members behind Pendulum have been active in Perth's live music scene for several years: producer / vocalist / keyboardist Rob Swire and producer / bassist Gareth McGrillen played together in the acclaimed Perth band Xygen, while Paul 'Elhornet' Harding had been a veteran of the Perth DJ scene. After emerging with the fan favourite single 'Granite', it was the Radio 1 A-listed follow-up 'Propane Nightmares' that enabled Pendulum to leap into the mainstream. The band then followed a defining performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend by seeing their second album 'In Silico' debut at #2 in the UK album charts. As 2009 progresses, the Pendulum juggernaut continues to roll on, devastating all in its path, as one of the most visceral and exhilarating live experiences around!

Lily Allen

Lily Allen

For a London girl who kick-started her career on the Internet, Lily Allen is flying higher than ever. With hit singles Smile and Everything's Wonderful under her belt the new princess of pop can do no wrong. Her cheeky songs, down-to-earth lyrics and dramatic sense of fashion have earned her a place at the top of the charts and have seen her climb her way out of Internet-based cultdom, into mainstream critical acclaim.

Doves

Doves

One of the UK's best indie rock bands (and former members of 'Sub Sub) whose first two albums have allowed the band to dispense with comparisons and forge their own sound. Mellow guitar-driven indie with irresistable chord arrangements, which sometimes give way to playful dance undercurrents, their Glasto 2002 and 2003 sets have been festival highlights for any lucky enough to hear them.

Eagles Of Death Metal

Eagles Of Death Metal

Despite their beginnings in 1998, EODM did not release an album until 2004, due to Josh Homme's dedication to his other band Queens Of The Stone Age. Following the debut release, however, much publicity was to be seen as a number of television productions snapped up their songs for use as soundtracks. The band released their thrid album, Heart On, in 2008. The premise for the group is simple: it's born of Jesse Hughes' desire to write music that sounds like the Eagles crossed with Death Metal.

The Game

The Game

The Game, a.k.a. Californian rapper Jayceon Taylor, has sold over 5 million albums worldwide and has collaborated with the likes of Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. In 2006 he won the ASCAP (American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers) Pop Music Award for his tracks 'How We Do' and 'Love It Or Hate It'. The Game's arrival on the West Coat rap scene, and consequently around the world, has marked the beginning of a new era in rap music, with The Game himself proclaiming that he is about peace not war. His grime sound and distinctive voice coupled with hints of 90's old skool have all put The Game in the running as one of the biggest names in rap.

The Dykeenies

The Dykeenies

New wave electro indie pop from Glasgow influenced by The Cribs, Bloc Party and The Futureheads. Formed in 2005, The Dykeenies' snappy pop songs brought them to the attention of the Glasgow indie scene and soon after the UK was greeted by their faces in a double page feature in Play Magazine. One to watch.

The Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem

'Sounding like a wonderfully gritty fusion of homestate hero Bruce Springsteen and the native sound of their hometown, New Brunswick (Bouncing Souls, Thursday), they add a pinch of Pogues-style rhythm-and-booze to a set of songs that together make a strong case for the quartet's second record being the best punk rock album made this year.' - NME
