Expect a weekend of live musical entertainment coupled with comedy, children's entertainment, street theatre, a theatre tent, art/craft exhibitions, and caterers from around the world providing a variety of meals in a truly festive atmosphere. Other festival attractions include the incredibly popular Farmer Giles' Barn Dance, superb cocktail bars and, as usual, the massive 150 foot long bar means nobody has to wait very long for refreshment! The kids are well catered for too, with the KidZone being by far the best to date with loads of fun, games, theatre and activities, not to mention the face painting! Brian Wilson

Co-founder of the legendary Beach Boys who produced some of the most successful American, pre-Beatles pop music characterised by rich, close harmony vocals which came to be known as the 'surf sound'. Despite the hits, he is perhaps better respected for later work, and in particular the 1966 album 'Pet Sounds', which regularly appears in polls as one of the greatest records of all time. Its mixture of melodic beauty and pioneering experimentation was taken even further on his next planned release, the near legendary 'Smile'. Scrapped in the late sixties, this album was finally released in 2004. The subsequent critical and popular acclaim it received was a true vindication of his original vision, and Brian's live performances of both 'Smile' and 'Pet Sounds' have been greeted with an equally rapturous reception.

The South London foursome is comprised of childhood friends Carey Willets (bass), Joel Pott (guitar), Steve Roberts (drums), and Tim Wanstall (keyboards), with Jonny Pilcher of Weevil as a live guitarist. Formed in 2000, the band to date have released three albums and had five top 40 singles. Their second album 'Tourist' reached the top spot in the UK album charts in February 2005, while Beyond The Neighbourhood debuted in 2007 at #5. Often compared with Pavement and The Beta Band, Athlete have grown to become one of Britain's most influential young groups.

Guaranteed to get you dancing in the moonlight, sunlight and any other light you care to mention, Eastbourne's favourite sons have come a long way since the release of the hauntingly catchy 'Achilles Heel' in 1999. A top five album, numerous festival headline slots, TV appearances and THAT song that made watching the Jamie Oliver adverts bearable have made them one of indie's shining lights. Capable of funky blues-rock and soaring string balladry, just try resisting the urge to sing along and tap your foot.

The UK's original disco diva, Linda was the first black British artist to successfully crossover soul and rock in the 70's with the hits 'Rock-A-Doodle Do' and the smash hit, 'It's In His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song)'. She has worked with everyone from Bowie to Rod Stewart to Muddy Waters, and counts Clapton and Stevie Wonder among her fans. The original and still up there with the best.
