Visitors to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery can now take a fascinating journey through the nine hundred year history of the city's famous shopping centre at 'Bull Ring Gallery'. bullring sketch The 'Bull Ring Gallery' tells the story of Birmingham's oldest retail destination. The gallery uses a mixture of audio commentary and visual displays to tell the story about how important the markets have been in Birmingham's transformation from a medieval market town to the commercial centre of the Midlands. Learn the story of Jacob Wilson (Town Crier in the 1800s) and see the official portrait of the city's rat catcher at work in the 1920s, as well as a restored 1930s hot potato cart and one of the iconic discs from the Selfridges building.
