Recycled By Design: 'Re-silicone Lining' And 'To Live'

At The Lightbox, Woking

Lucy Fergus is taking on the challenge of the stairwell space, sourcing waste rubber for her dramatic installation 'Re-silicone Lining'. The silicone constructions are inspired by stalagmites and stalactites and form an eerie yet enticing hanging display above the main staircase. The hanging columns are a combination of textural and illuminated pieces in various sizes filled with white LED lights which emit a subtle glow by day and come alive by night. Artist and graphic designer Nick Sayers is the creator of 'To Live', a geodesic shelter made entirely of estate agent boards. It questions the dominant housing market model and makes a statement about homelessness and self-build housing.

From Tuesday – Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm / Sunday 11:00am – 5:00pm (Closed Mondays, including bank holidays)
