Leading British mainstream/modern jazz alto saxophonist who, at the age of 18, played at the opening of Ronnie Scott's club in London. A hugely influential figure on the British jazz scene, he has worked with the likes of Bud Powell, Elvin Jones, Milt Jackson, Ray Charles, Zoot Sims and Al Cohn.
