Stephen D Smith MBE is a larger-than-life criminal lawyer from Yorkshire, whose latest book Boozers, Ballcocks & Bail is the first of a comic legal series. In it, he recounts with gusto his sometimes hilarious, sometimes tragic and sometimes plain bizarre experiences, both in and outside the criminal justice system, and the colourful characters he meets along the way. Steve could perhaps be described as the Gervase Phinn of the legal profession: join him to see if you agree!
