Hailing from London, but with a distinctly international flavour, Junkstar formed in late 2006, beginning a journey into the unknown. The 'junkies' take the pop sensibilities of the Dandy Warhols and the urgency of bands like Placebo, as well as soaking up their other main influences, and synthesize them into a big brash sexy city swagger all of their own. They pull off that precarious trick of delivering a masterclass of sleek hooks whilst providing you with a sound that resonates giddily, just like kissing a pretty girl. Or boy.
