Philip King's vintage World War II farce. This crackling comedy is set in the idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick during 1942 as the residents brace themselves for the imminent German invasion. It's a classic case of mistaken identity as rumours and cassocks start to fly. The vicarage is overrun with bishops, nosey neighbours, more vicars and an escaped prisoner of war, and just when things can't get any worse, they do!
