More Information

Foals -

Indie-funk five piece The Foals, who make an irresistible blend of electronic-pop, dirty disco and pulsating indie-tech. Punked up, funked out and most definitely music to get down and boogie to. '…one of the hottest new bands in indie - they deserve your immediate and total adulation.' - NME

Manic Street Preachers -

Despite the much-publicised trials and tribulations they've gone through, James, Sean and Nicky remain the Kings of the Welsh music scene. Highly ideological, extremely patriotic and outrageously popular, having produced classic indie/rock cross-overs such as 'A Design For Life', 'You Love Us' and 'Motorcycle Emptiness'. Music with a message from a trio who've earnt the right to sing it.

Seasick Steve -

This is the real deal. Having learnt about the hobo lifestyle early on in life (via many a freight train) Steve 'Seasick' Wold has developed a vivid and wholly authentic folk-blues style. He's been playing music professionally since the 1970s and still has it today.

Bullet For My Valentine -

Bullet For My Valentine cite their main objective as writing rock songs the way rock songs used to be written. Aspiring to a love of acts such as Iron Maiden and Metallica, and an equal hatred of indie-rock, the South-Wales group have enjoyed an upward curve perpetrating their own brand of anthemic rock ballads.

Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong -

Joe Lean is just one of the alter egos of Joe Beaumont, the drummer from The Pipettes, aka actor Joe Van Moyland. The Jing Jang Jong are set to be his most successful project with their brand of catchy indie-pop. Definitely one to watch out for at a small venue before they become huge!

Justice -

French electronic duo Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay, making pumping house music with an electro-punk-rock edge.

Mystery Jets -

'Perfectly formed pop' (Bugbear). A band who manage to do something new with the rock sound. Their music is unusual and boundary pushing, but luckily they have the technical prowess to pull it off, sometimes mastering kitchen utensils as well as more standard instruments.

The Ting Tings -

Electro pop duo who have been making waves up and down the country ever since their formation in 2006. Having started out playing private house parties in their native Manchester, Jules De Martino and Katie White's shows soon became the hottest tickets on the planet.

Santogold -

The lovechild of submarine sonar and low frequency midnight moans, Santogold was born somewhere between Bedstuy and Bushwick, Brooklyn and was placed under the care of enigmatic singer and songwriter Santi White. Santogold drives dub and 80's pop influences from song to song. Sometimes basement rock, sometimes Bananarama-soundclash, Santogold is a vehicle for White's well drawn late night fight lines and robot-witch scat on the beat. Warbling bass, island upbeat, and deep-south snap provide foundation for White's whispering lilts and tension-ridden verses.
