New York band Vampire Weekend rather oddly, but rather delightfully, combine African rhythms and Peter Gabriel-esque vocals with an urban, punkish tone. They describe themselves as specialist is the styles of Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa, Upper West Side Soweto, Campus, and Oxford Comma Riddim.'
