The original Plonkers Agricultural Orchestra started life in 1979 when Gordon, Bob and Plonker the Donkey won first prize at the Lymington Carnival with a cider-making machine 'float'. After regular appearances they were booked to play the Lymington Steam Fair - the first booking for The Plonkers Agricultural Orchestra - and they have been plaguing the New Forest ever since!
