Based in Buffalo, New York, Cute Is What We Aim For came to be in 2005, parting ways with their myriad ska-punk efforts in order to produce a power-pop ensemble better fuelled by near-Shakespearean lyricism. The group rose above the ensuing drama to sign to Fueled By Ramen records, and saw massive international success by mid-2006.
