Peter Tork and Shoe Suede Blues

Peter Tork and Shoe Suede Blues

Defining Peter Tork (The Monkees) and Shoe Suede Blues is akin to describing the history of popular music. Band mates Richard Mikuls, John Palmer and Arnold Jacks have shared the stage with some of the most influential recording artists of the last 50 years: Ray Charles, BB King, Ronnie Dawson, Chaka Kahn and Wanda Jackson, just to mention a few. Though Peter’s band of seasoned pros, Shoe Suede Blues delivers a heartfelt soulful, uplifting and quite unforgettable mixture, divined from their vision of what music is all about. Peter Tork and Shoe Suede Blues...witness that the heart and soul of music lives.

China Crisis

China Crisis

China Crisis whose distinctive AOR-fuelled pop songs charted in the 80s when they spent a total of 92 weeks in the charts. Who said the Eighties were all bad?, China Crisis, for instance, were largely considered one of the better musical things about that much-maligned decade. They formed in 1979 in Kirkby on Merseyside, with a core band of vocalist/keyboardist Garry Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon. The band was signed to Virgin Records and recorded their debut album, Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms: Some People Think It's Fun To Entertain, which was released in December 1982. A re-release of "African & White" became China Crisis' first hit in the UK, reaching number 45 in the UK Singles Chart. When the follow-up single, "Christian" made UK number 12 in early 1983, this brought them to national prominence along with "Wishful Thinking". The band toured Europe and USA during the late eighties and performed in front of crowds as large as 87,00 in Germany.

Goldblade

Goldblade

Goldblade unleashes the musical equivalent of a full-on beach assault incorporating heavy artillery, landing craft and an assortment of nuclear field weapons. John Robb, like some punk-ass James Brown, charges the band into the thick of battle. Prepare to be irradiated by their high-energy glam-soul-punk sound.

The Bluetones

The Bluetones

This band go from strength to strength and are that rare thing - true musicians in a hyped-up world. They appeared as the Brit-pop thing was waning - which helped in getting their debut album 'Expecting To Fly' the top slot in the UK charts. Musically, they endorse a tight but lithe sound, with a nod towards psychedelia, that falls somewhere between The Stone Roses and Oasis.

Swill and The Swaggerband (Men They Couldn't Hang)

London collective making rootsy folk with punk influences, a kind of cross between Billy Bragg and the Levellers. This is music at its most natural; raw, energetic and gutsy.

Eddie And The Hot Rods

Eddie And The Hot Rods

Eddie and the Hot Rods began life in 1976, when four teenagers from Southend on Sea got together, and playing their own style of fast energetic rock'n'roll/r'n'b, were soon a big hit on the London pub scene. Catching the eyes and ears of the music press and the major record companies, they were soon signed up by the legendary Island Records and went on to have three hit albums and four Top 40 UK singles including the Top 10 hit 'Do Anything You Wanna Do'. There have been numerous TV appearances worldwide and they have filled almost every major venue in the UK. A success in the USA too, they have toured alongside The Ramones, Tom Petty, The Police, Squeeze and Talking Heads.
