At Rock'n'Roots Festival, Much Marcle

This new eclectic festival is buried in the heart of ciderland, showcasing folk, blues and rock'n'roots for all ages. Two Big Top marquees and an outdoor stage will be hosting the music over the bank holiday weekend. Marillion and USA legendary axe man Steve Cropper, alongside reformed blues rockers Bad Company and Curved Air, will be featuring amongst the hefty blues and folk roots line up. The Wurzels

The Wurzels -

Formed in 1966 by Adge Cutler, the Bard of Avonmouth, this bunch of haystack-headed, cider-soaked and dung-booted, not-quite-so-young Avonside lads play good-time traditional Zummerzet Scrumpy 'n' Western music. The band has had considerable commercial success from their 1967 anthem Drink Up Thy Zider to the heights of the chart-topping Combine Harvester in 1976. Big in Nempnett Thrubwell, these guys are huge across the whole county!

3 Daft Monkeys

3 Daft Monkeys -

Cornish nu-folk band, who mix up Celtic, Gypsy and Spanish influences to create an infectious carnival sound. Played Glastonbury 2002 and have recently supported The Oysterband and The Levellers.

From Berlin incorporating stereotypical American cowboy style with Stetson hats, tank tops, large sunglasses and whisky bottles their quirky covers of pop, rock and hip hop such as Toxic by Britney Spears and Ey Ya! by Outkast are peppered with ye-haw yells in true country trash punk rock style.

The band formed on the 20th of October 2007 when Ian, Ben, Rhydz, Edd and Jon met for their first rehearsal. From the world go they decided to stick to writing their own material and soon had a complete set. Since then they have gone from strength to strength, playing in various respected clubs around Wales.
