More Information

Calexico -

Tucson, Arizona's finest return to the UK to blow away your preconceptions of country music with their astonishing live show. Catering for your everyday demands for eerie desert rock and mashed-up Tex Mex party anthems.

For more information, see the website

Mercury Rev -

Five-piece post-indie / avante-garde psych band from Buffalo NY with a huge following Stateside, and a growing one here. Breakthrough 2002 single 'The Dark Is Rising' helped show their versatility, the stripped-down semi-acoustic lovesong gaining huge national airplay and top 20 status.

For more information, see the website

Mountain Goats -

Sometimes bitter, sometimes tender, American acoustic college rock that brings to mind mid '80s REM or Guided By Voices without distortion.

Two Gallants -

Named after the short story by James Joyce, Two Gallants present a definitive fusion of punk-rock energy and folkish storytelling. The duo's existence began in 2002, performing guerilla shows and house parties, which brewed into touring and eventually a debut album with Alive records in 2004. The juxtaposition of their sound - their aggressive, drunken-sounding balladry - is something to behold.

A Hawk and a Hacksaw -

An unmissable act playing all kinds of music, with elements of modern composition and American and Eastern European folk evident in the mix. It consists of former Neutral Milk Hotel drummer Jeremy Barnes (accordion, vocals and percussion) and Heather Trost (violin, glockenspiel and melodica).

Jeffrey Lewis -

Often associated with his friends, The Moldy Peaches, New York's Jeffrey Lewis peddles a similar peddle of lo-fi anti-folk indie singing and songwriting, combining equal measures of humour, innocence, fragility and sadness. Singing largely of his own life and experiences, as though filtered through the pages of a comic book, he's a modern day woody Guthrie on a punk rock tip.

For more information, see the website

Micah P Hinson -

Micah P Hinson is a young singer from Memphis, TN on the Sketchbook Records label with distinctive acoustic melodies and raspy vocals.
