A showcase of outstanding contemporary art by North Yorkshire's leading artists will be held at Castle Howard in September 2008. The exhibition is being organised by local charity York Against Cancer, and will feature the work of more than 30 artists, leading painters, sculptors, ceramicists and photographers currently living and working in Yorkshire and those who were born and brought up here. Proceeds from the event will go towards a major appeal launched by York Against Cancer to fund much needed transport for cancer patients. York Against Cancer is a local charity working in collaboration with The University of York and York Hospital, committed to funding research and supporting local cancer patients and their families.
