Hitting Home

At Pleasance Theatre, London

Adapted from Andrea Ashworth's autobiography 'Once in a House on Fire', Hitting Home opens the door to addressing domestic violence. It tackles life in the inner cities, the trauma of growing up in a violent home, racism at school and Andrea's use of the written word as a rebellion against her home life. Physical theatre, text and live music are used to tell this story of heightened happiness and destructive sadness. It aims to let young people living with violence know that they are not alone and to provide them with a role model and inspiring message of how it is possible to rise above adversity.

From 7:30pm. Matinee 1:00pm
