More Information

Roisin Murphy -

Former lead-singer of the very successful indie-dance group Moloko, Murphy's solo material breaks away from the traditional Moloko sound of indie-dance, to become a bit more electro and funked up, but at the same time, her songs are often chill-out material. With a haunting but beautiful voice, Roisin's unusual vocals carry the trippy sound of her solo material whilst putting her own inimitable style on every single song that she writes and produces. Overpowered, the second album by Roisin Murphy, was released mid 2007.

Groove Armada

Groove Armada -

Whether playing their own brand of smooth, funky, sunshine dance tracks (with a housey, trancey undercurrent) or DJing clubs and festivals across Europe, Groove Armada remain the Kings of the Ibiza chillout scene.

Stereo MCs

Stereo MCs -

Still getting themselves connected to today's dance music scene, the MC's came back from a long break in 2001 with some fresh material. Still full of funky lo-fi beats and melodic raps.

The Dykeenies

The Dykeenies -

New wave electro indie pop from Glasgow influenced by The Cribs, Bloc Party and The Futureheads. Formed in 2005, The Dykeenies' snappy pop songs brought them to the attention of the Glasgow indie scene and soon after the UK was greeted by their faces in a double page feature in Play Magazine. One to watch.
