More Information

DJ Shadow

DJ Shadow

DJ Shadow's presence in the world of hip hop - and music in general - is hardly disputed these days. His work as a soloist is as well-recognised as his extensive collaborative efforts which range from the close-to-home Cut Chemist to a surprisingly chilling duet with Radiohead's Thom Yorke. In addition, Shadow has been widely recognised for his work in the severely abstract and psychedelic group U.N.K.L.E, whose debut album 'Psyence Fiction' caused an international stir. The Jimi Hendrix of sampling and a true pioneer in modern hip-hop and dance music.

Cut Chemist

AKA Lucas McFadden, solo turntablist, remixer and former member of Ozomatli and Jurassic 5. McFadden first became known through the Los Angeles based rap group Unity Committee. In 1997 Cut Chemist recorded his debut album 'Live At Future Primitive Sound Session' with Shortkut and has since become a well respected figure in music.

Dizzee Rascal

Dizzee Rascal

Underground dance master who stunned the UK garage scene with his debut album 'Boy In Da Corner' and single 'I Luv U' in 2003, both of which warped the sound into something dark, disturbing and deliciously innovative. Considered the most popular and influential Grime artist in the world, and also recognised as an innovator with his production style. 2007's 'Maths + English' is a masterpiece and a credit to the genre.

Steve Bug

From Poker Flat recordings, Germany’s minimal dance connoisseur, Steve Bug, started his DJ-career in a small after-hours bar near Ibiza’s Space back in 1991 - soon becoming resident at the best club in his hometown of Bremen whilst getting booked for major German events such as the Love Parade. His sets consist of seductive and laid-back funk, dirty retro basslines and random bleeps, incorporating techno, electro and basic funk into bare house grooves creating moody, minimal and seductive music.

Green Velvet (AKA Cajmere)

Green Velvet (AKA Cajmere)

Starting out as a chemical engineering student, Green Velvet aka Cajmere, sacrificed everything to produce house music. He has become known as the Godfather of Chicago House and has had success all over the world with tracks such as Preacher Man, and Constant Chaos. His fluid sound and technical brilliance, mixed with his astute sense of humour has helped him achieve what he set out to do: to put Chicago on the dance map.

Alloy Mental

Alloy Mental

The brainchild of Belfast's techno/electro/breaks don, Phil Kieran - are stamping their size 12 boots all over torpid dance music and stale rock music and taking no prisoners. Sounding like Nitzer Ebb on a collision course with Iggy & The Stooges as tough techno bangs and rolls along in the background.
