More Information

Mr Hudson

Mr Hudson

It takes someone with foresight and imagination to pull-off the cross-pollination of hip hop and r&b beats with classic song writing, but in doing so Mr Hudson has hit upon a winning formula. A self-confessed outsider, this mixing of styles comes easy to an artist who has become the undefeated Jump Off Producer Champion of 2005. Championed by the likes of Sway and 1Xtra DJ Semtex, who were surprised to find themselves firm fans of the trilby-doffing newcomer, Mr Hudson's hybrid sound is attracting interest from all corners of the music industry.

Brian Wilson

Brian Wilson

Co-founder of the legendary Beach Boys who produced some of the most successful American, pre-Beatles pop music characterised by rich, close harmony vocals which came to be known as the 'surf sound'. Despite the hits, he is perhaps better respected for later work, and in particular the 1966 album 'Pet Sounds', which regularly appears in polls as one of the greatest records of all time. Its mixture of melodic beauty and pioneering experimentation was taken even further on his next planned release, the near legendary 'Smile'. Scrapped in the late sixties, this album was finally released in 2004. The subsequent critical and popular acclaim it received was a true vindication of his original vision, and Brian's live performances of both 'Smile' and 'Pet Sounds' have been greeted with an equally rapturous reception.

Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes, aka Conor Oberst, whose country-led folk, spiced with an experimental, DIY edge, has seen him quickly become a highly revered singer/songwriter. His second album, I'm Wide Awake It's Morning, saw him gain critical acclaim and he has collaborated with the likes of Emmylou Harris, M Ward and Ben Kweller.

Rufus Wainwright

Rufus Wainwright

With wonderfully romantic lyrics and inspired orchestral flourishes, Montreal-born Rufus Wainwright is unique among the artists of his generation for his lush, theatrical pop sound. The son of folk luminaries Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle, Rufus was nominated for a Juno as Most Promising Young Artist, while his 'I'm A-Runnin' was concurrently nominated for a Genie for Best Song in a Film.

Sinead O'Connor

A truly inspirational and daring performer (to those she hasn't offended at any rate), Sinead's heartfelt and passionate material since the 80s has spanned indie, folk and pop. Her list of musical achievements is only surpassed by the amount of Christmas card lists she's managed to alienate herself from.

Albert Hammond Jr

Albert Hammond Jr

Still lead guitarist of The Strokes but Albert Hammond Jr is now producing solo material that the band turned down! Infectious, distorted and lethargic, Albert's music is backed by Matt Romano and Josh Lattanzi, forming a wonderful trio.
