My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance

New Jersey pop-punk band, who have quickly risen to fame since the early '00s after supporting the likes of Green Day, Alkaline Trio, Avenged Sevenfold and The Used on tour. Their brand of 'violent, dangerous pop' with an image to match and plenty of media hype has won them a fanatical fan following on both sides of the pond with their second album 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' (2004) turning platinum just a year later and concerts these days selling out in a matter of minutes.

Babyshambles

Babyshambles

After his first rise to fame with The Libertines in early 2000, co-lead-singer Peter Doherty went on to create Babyshambles. Initially a side-project during time-out from The Libertines, Babyshambles have become a band in their own right since his permanent departure from his former band. Known for their chaotic and frenzied live shows and somewhat overshadowed by media interest in Peter Doherty's personal life, Babyshambles have released several top 10 singles and have become a vehicle for Doherty's poetic, rambling, and heartfelt songwriting.

CSS

CSS

Brazilian band CSS were one of the first groups to make wierd, lof-fi electro cool. Their energetic live shows, off-the wall dress sense and the sheer presence of lead singer LoveFoxxx, have all added up to make them one of the hottest bands on the planet. Singles include Off The Hook, Music Is My Hot Hot Sex and Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above.

Little Man Tate

Little Man Tate

Little Man Tate have tunes, tunes, tunes. Not just the latest new band from Sheffield but potentially the best. They ooze commercial indie-pop potential in a Kaiser Chiefs meets Carter USM stylee. Immensely hummable tunes reflecting everyday life with real humour.... you simply have to see them live to fully appreciate them.

Gogol Bordello

Gogol Bordello

Gypsy meets punk-rock as Gogol Bordello bridges the gap between Eastern European and Western culture. 'Rousing punk-meets-folk at one of the best live shows you'll see!' (Time Out). Photo by Michael Lavine.

Dogs

On the up, art rockers from London. Self-described 'most passionate band in 30 years', Dogs claim to be taking a stand against the posers and fakers of the London rock scene. They are certainly making an impression after touring the UK extensively in 2005 with a sell out show at ULU in London where they were joined onstage by Paul Weller to play 'A Bomb in Wardour St'.
