More Information

Supergrass

Supergrass

Back in 1994, this then teenage trio released their debut 'Caught by the Fuzz' and quickly followed it with a string of infectious, energetic anthems including 'Alright', which reached number two in the UK charts. With songs about meeting girls, smoking dope, and generally being young, the band seemed to provide the perfect backdrop to the Summer. The Ordinary Boys

The Ordinary Boys

A Brighton four-piece indie pop band with a healthy bite and a Celebrity Big Brother star (singer/guitarist Preston) in their ranks. In 2004 they became the darlings of the music press. 'No other band gets close to the potential of these oiks' (NME).

Rodrigo Y Gabriela

Rodrigo Y Gabriela

Mexican-born guitar virtuosos playing a unique mix of Latin rhythms, Celtic lyricism, jazz, pop and the odd heavy metal riff.

The Hold Steady

The Hold Steady

Brooklyn based five-piece making blues-laden geek-rock for the 21st century. Although The Hold Steady's sound will probably appeal to fans of older bands such as Eels, Ben Folds and The Lemonheads, their sound is bang-up-to-date, illustrated by the success of their 2008 single 'Sequestered In Memphis'.

Thirteen Senses

Thirteen Senses

Tipped for the top by the NME, Cornish four piece Thirteen Senses’ influences range from The Beatles and Pink Floyd to The Flaming Lips and Sigur Ros. Blending the epic splendor of the Doves with the fragile abstraction of The Delays, Thirteen Senses create grand music with moments of clarity and tenderness. Definitely ones to watch, Thirteen Senses have ‘enough touches of brilliance to certainly be considered one of the bands of the year in their own right.’ (Indie London)
