Recently attended a Amy Winehouse Night at the Orrell Park Ballroom and had a really good night and that seemed to be the general attitude all round. The atmosphere was really good and everybody danced and made the most of the night from start to finish. The function room was a good size as it was not too big or too small just seemed right to be able to enjoy the act. Will definately attend the Bad Manners night hopefully the same again at the OPB!

The Orrell Park Ballroom is directly opposite Orrell Park Station only two stops from Liverpool Central so very accessable. The OPB is a modern name for the Ballroom but all the original traits of the Ballroom remain, such as the friendly fun environment it was famous for all those years ack. The OPB still remains an active Ballroom to the day. There are two rooms the Ballroom/ function room and a lounge. The Ballroom was originally one large room with the second largest dance floor but more recently was split to accomodate modern trends. The OPB now functions as a private room and lounge for regular customers at one time. The OPB is a great historic venue of Liverpool and still hosts great acts. It has been said that the Beatles have played the Ballroom but there is no primary evidence of that. Over the last 20 years there has been alot os stars graced the stage such as Ken Dodd, Russell Watson, Chubby Brown, Heatwave and many more. Next of course there is Bad Manners therefore the Ballroom remains a excellent venue to keep your eye on.

this venue is an upstairs location with ample of room and a bar located in the corner of the room. the staff are very welcoming and always ready to help. the location is fantastic as you have the bus stop to town just outside and over the road is orrell park train station which also takes you straight to and from town. before the gig you have a choice of a couple of pubs to have a drink in (the Windsor and Orreys 2 ), which are literally 2 mins away. hope this helps.
