I've been to a few of the Academy venues, and Brixton is the largest by some margin. Despite this, the gig I went to was still pretty packed (James, April 07).

The floor slopes down towards the stage, but that did little to aid visibility the night I was there. However, we did find that we could just head upstairs to the (seated) balcony and get a good view.

Transport links, like most of London, are pretty good with a tube station 10 minutes walk away down the high street.

ive seen two awsome bands at brixton my 1st being korn and the 2nd being megadeath! the venue is fab great view and the atmosphere is just simply superb both gigs were different because the 1st i was standing and the 2nd up in the balcony both of which i would recomend to anyone who loves to rock!!!
