Set in 3 acres of gardens, Sir William Turner's Almshouses provide an acoustically almost perfect venue. The chapel is ideal for intimate chamber music and piano recitals. There is ample free on-site parking adjacent to the building and the entire site is 'wheelchair friendly'. The venue is available to other organisations for concerts, seminars, 'quiet days' and similar presentations. DIRECTIONS: From anywhere in the area follow the brown/white tourist signs to Kirkleatham Museum - the almshouses are opposite the museum.

This is a quirky little venue near Redcar on the northern fringe of North Yorkshire. Rather like the House of Commons, seats along the side walls face in to the centre of the room and a central block of 50 seats face forward.
The acoustics are superb and no one is… (cont'd) Peter-S
