Can't believe I'm first to recommend one of best venues in country that are specialist in tribute and local talent! Nice, friendly pub in Centre of Derby. Many Real Ales + food in pub and back room for bands with 2nd bar! Saw ELO tribute (See review) here 2006, fantastic band, brilliant view. We much prefer these intimate venues to stadiums where you can't even see the act, let alone faces and the playing styles. We spend weekends going to such places as Limelight at Crewe and Robin2 at Bilston all similar pub venues with regular live acts and professional management - and The Prom Bristol. Until serious injuries forced me to stop for a year. Will be fit again to hit these venues before Xmas 08.

I'm really lucky to live in Derby and I've been to loads of gigs at the Flowerpot. It's a great pub serving good beer, so the boys tell me! the venue is perfect, I'm not a great fan of massive venuies when you're so far away from the stage it could be anyone up there. Flowerpot is like having a band in your front room!

Gene Jeanie are ace even if you're not a great Bowie fan, hope they'll be making another appearance soon.
